Our company was established by farmers in 1867 to provide fire insurance to its members.  Over the years, the name of the company has changed and the product line has extended beyond just fire insurance.  In addition to coverage for fire, we provide coverage for other perils such as theft, vandalism, lightning, water & sewer back up, power surge, etc.

In order to provide a complete home or farm insurance pollicy, we package our "fire" policies with two statewide mutual insurance companies: RAM Mutual & North Star Mutual.  RAM and North Star provide the wind/hail liability and inland marine coverages.  Together, Chisago Lakes Mutual and our packaging partners, RAM & North Star, offer a complete farm or home insurance package in one policy with many options to tailor your insurance protection to meet your needs.
