The Scandia Fire and Rescue Department is a group of volunteers organized for the purposes of the fighting of fires, education and prevention of fires, the saving of life and property, and assisting in any medical emergency in the City of Scandia. They visit Scandia Elementary School during "Fire Prevention Week" and host an open house in October. The Department's current ISO rating is 7/10.
